Home Educator Deep Dive Workshop
On the last term-time Wednesday of every month (events depending), we will be delivering an Ocean-themed workshop for children who are keen to learn more about our wonderful blue planet! Each workshop has been designed with national curriculum links, as well as a strong focus on conservation and current marine issues. The workshops will be delivered at 1pm, and last one and half hours.

- 3rd Sept: Underwater Evolution - Evolve your own species and see if it will survive modern times for 8-11s
- 22nd Oct: Energy Investigators - Understanding the cause and effect of climate change for 9-14's
- 26th Nov: Observational Drawing Tour - Develop different artistic techniques with the NMA inhabitants as your muse for 5+
- 17th Dec: Stop Motion Animation - Create a stop motion video to advocate for the ocean for 7-14's
- 28th Jan: Ocean Scientist - An introduction to marine biology designed for children between 5-7
- 25th Feb: Inventafish - An adaptation inspired craft workshop designed for 7-11's
- 25th March - Plastic Seas - This updated workshop looks at our waste from source to sea for 8-14's
- 29th April: Meet the Mermaid - a literacy/craft workshop with a very special guest for 4-7's
- 27th May: Rockpool Safari - Let's explore our local blue space! Suitable for all ages. **This workshop will take place at 09:30 from Mt Batten Beach**
